This is a remote position supporting our New York PIP Litigation team.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience handling New York Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims, with a strong preference for those familiar with NY PIP litigation processes
Key Responsibilities
Review pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal correspondence to assess litigation exposure
Actively participate in mediations, settlement negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) processes
Manage claims that enter litigation, working closely with internal and external legal counsel to develop and execute litigation strategies
Work closely with defense counsel to ensure efficient litigation management and collaborate with expert witnesses, appraisers, engineers, and other specialists to assess claim validity and value
Oversee and assess performance of legal teams, ensuring adherence to case strategy and company objectives
Conduct detailed claim investigations, including reviewing coverage, policy provisions, damages, and coverage/liability factors
Analyze disputed loss scenarios, including complex scenarios and provide direction on claim handling strategies
Maintain accurate and detailed claim files in accordance with company policies and legal discovery requirements
Ensure all claim handling practices align with state and federal regulations, avoiding potential compliance risks
Actively seek out and participate in educational opportunities to stay informed about industry trends and legal updates, ensuring continuous professional growth and compliance
Experience
3 or more years of experience (Preferred)

Compensation
Base compensation offered for this role is $62,800.00 - $99,000.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
