Lead Engineer – End User Compute Devices - Remote

Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Lead Engineer to oversee the strategy, design, operations and engineering excellence of our End User Compute (EUC) environment. This role will lead engineering efforts across a broad portfolio including laptops, virtual desktops, end user hardware and diagnostics, desktop OS system management, software packaging and distribution, and enterprise print solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Technical Leadership & Strategy
- Define and drive the EUC engineering roadmap aligned with business goals.
- Lead cross-functional teams in the design and implementation of scalable, secure, and user-centric compute solutions.
- Champion zero-wait, zero-friction service fulfillment through automation and modern device management.
Device & Platform Engineering
- Oversee lifecycle management of laptops, desktops, thin clients, and virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI).
- Lead the evaluation, selection, and deployment of end user hardware and peripherals.
- Ensure seamless integration of Windows and macOS platforms with enterprise tools and services.
System Management & Automation
- Manage OS deployment, patching, and configuration using modern endpoint management tools.
- Implement and maintain software packaging and distribution pipelines.
- Drive continuous improvement through automation, telemetry (e.g., Nexthink), and AI-assisted workflows.
Diagnostics & Support Enablement
- Lead diagnostic tooling and telemetry strategies to proactively identify and resolve user issues.
- Collaborate with support teams to reduce mean time to resolution and improve user satisfaction.
Print & Peripheral Services
- Manage enterprise print infrastructure including Follow-Me print, ShareScan, and networked devices.
- Ensure secure and efficient print services across hybrid work environments.

Collaboration & Governance
- Partner with product managers, security, and compliance teams to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
- Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of innovation and accountability.
Preferred Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in EUC engineering or related IT infrastructure roles.
- Deep expertise in Windows desktop management, VDI, and endpoint security.
- Proven experience with software packaging tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune, MECM).
- Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., PowerShell, Python).
- Familiarity with diagnostic platforms like Nexthink and print management solutions.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Compensation
Compensation offered for this role is $141,800.00 - 219,200.00 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation.
