Job Description
Join our dynamic Underwriting Team as a Farm Underwriting Lead Consultant, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping and enhancing underwriting strategies. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders to identify and implement actionable solutions that drive superior underwriting outcomes.

In this role, you'll be the go-to expert ensuring all underwriting requests, referrals, and Affidavit/Subpoena/Deposition inquiries are managed promptly and consistently, maintaining our commitment to excellence and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive innovation by identifying opportunities to enhance product offerings and leverage automation technology for greater efficiency.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of assigned books of business through agent and profile reviews, audits, and ongoing collaboration with Pricing, Marketing, and PS&S teams to ensure quality and performance.
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships that support profitability and fuel premium growth.
  • Serve as a trusted liaison, communicating underwriting details clearly and professionally with brokers-and occasionally with customers-to facilitate smooth transactions.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for underwriting exceptions, collaborating with agents, supervisors, TSM, Pricing, Marketing, and other key stakeholders.
  • Partner closely with Regional Sales Managers, Product Managers, and Analysts to achieve ambitious growth and profit goals.
  • Utilize internal and external data insights to guide pricing, underwriting, and sales strategies, while gaining a deep understanding of the market landscape.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities and potential risks, recommending actions to improve classifications, retention, or re-underwriting initiatives.
  • Apply expert judgment to make sound underwriting decisions on complex risks, ensuring appropriate risk acceptance and portfolio balance.
  • Perform comprehensive risk reviews and determine risk acceptability with confidence and accuracy.

Compensation

Base compensation offered for this role is $85,600-$134,620 annually and is based on experience and qualifications.

*** Total compensation for this role is comprised of several factors, including the base compensation outlined above, plus incentive pay (i.e. commission, bonus, etc.) as applicable for the role.
