General
The Manager, Product Panning owns and fully manages a footwear category including demand forecasting, supply and capacity planning, pricing & weekly inventory management, factory and internal communication. The position will own product launches end-to-end from inception to execution across products, color refreshes and country launches. In this role you will have high visibility to the executive leadership team, and you will be an integral part of developing and executing our strategic objectives.
Job Responsibilities
- Lead demand forecasting and S&OP: Develop long-term demand forecasts and lead the monthly Sales and Operations Planning cycle, ensuring cross-functional alignment.
- Manage production and inventory: Publish build plans and purchase orders, considering capacity and demand. Optimize channel inventory across the product lifecycle, acting as the central supply chain contact for new launches.
- Ensure material and product availability: Partner with internal teams for timely material forecasts to meet production and launch dates. Monitor product supply vs. sales, performing analyses to maximize sales and support replenishment.
- Collaborate on logistics and marketing: Work with logistics to optimize freight and ensure product availability. Partner with Product, Merchandising, and Marketing to align inventory with commercial plans.
- Drive launch timelines and insights: Develop and communicate key launch deadlines based on product lead times. Analyze data to share product performance insights for assortment evolution and merchandising decisions.
- Manage global partnerships: Serve as a key contact for global manufacturing partners and regional planning teams.
- Optimize processes: Build and evolve supply and demand models, tools, and processes for efficiency and accuracy.
Qualifications
- BA/BS or equivalent, preferably with quantitative focus
- 8+ years of work experience in product / inventory planning
- Advanced Excel and modeling skills are a must
- Deep analytical mindset, intellectual curiosity, and problem-solving acumen
- Experience in product planning, inventory management and/or supply chain operations
- Knowledge of ERP systems, Anaplan, or SAP a plus
- Ability to both think strategically and execute tactically, a persistent attention to detail, and a high level of comfort in working with numbers
- Entrepreneurial, self-directed and resourceful – someone who will thrive in a constantly changing, fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communicator and have the ability to quickly grasp new concepts while asking appropriate questions when information or instruction is not entirely clear.
- Experience working in wholesale or at a brand selling in multiple channels or global markets

What do we offer?
In Office: The pay range for this role is: $118,000 - $130,000 and must be performed in our San Francisco, CA corporate office. Relocation is not available for this position.
Allbirds routinely evaluates pay rates, and the ranges are subject to change based on market rates and other considerations. We factor in a number of components when determining starting pay, including the job and level you are hired into, location, skillset, experience and peer compensation.

Work Environment
Work takes place in an office setting. This job may require working more than 8 hours per day and/or 40 hours a week. It requires the ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods of time and communicate effectively with a diverse audience in person, by phone and by computer. This position requires the ability to occasionally lift, push, and carry up to 20 lbs frequently and up to 15 lbs occasionally.
