This person will support the growing Alion Talent Acquisition team on all topics related to the University Partnerships/Programs. This individual will report to the Talent Acquisition Director and support all Alion lines of business (LOBs) and functions.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment process for both university and intern hiring, ensuring a smooth and positive candidate experience
  • Manage requisitions in Applicant Tracking System (PeopleSoft).
  • Collaborate with business leaders and hiring managers to understand hiring needs and goals, and to develop, implement, and execute a custom hiring strategy. Conduct intake meetings with hiring managers to ensure requisition accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with business area leaders on interview scheduling, including interview event planning at universities. Provide on-site interview planning and event support as needed.
  • Generate job offers with compensation and review offer for accuracy before releasing. Provide information on Alion to candidates and exhibit strong sales skills to close the deal. Follow through on background investigation to ensure a timely start date.
  • Travel will be required during peak recruiting periods.
  • Throughout the Staffing process, the recruiter ensures that the company maintains a compliant posture in accordance with employment laws, EEO requirements, OFCCP regulations, and other regulatory and Alion policies and procedures. Provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Look for opportunities to innovate current activities
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders at targeted universities
  • Proactively conduct targeted searches and candidate screenings for top talent at our focus Universities. Maintain ongoing contact with top college and intern talent from focus Universities
  • Develop, analyze and report regularly on University Relation metrics. Create a master college recruiting spreadsheet to reflect college presence, job postings, offers, candidate interests, career fair information, attendees, and cost
  • Development of campus engagement activities (career fairs, targeted events, student organization and faculty outreach).

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college plus 8 - 10 years of related experience. Minimum of 3 years college recruiting experience as a Campus/University Recruiter.
  • Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and strong Internet recruiting experience is necessary.
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Understanding of employment laws, and EEO requirements.
  • Successful candidate will possess strong written and verbal communication skills and represent the company in a professional manner
  • Experience using a wide variety of recruiting sources including but not limited to the following: Internet recruiting, employee referrals, social networks, job fairs, college career fairs, open house events, advertisements, etc.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems.
