Job Description

Responsible for planning and executing various operations and activities of the U.S. Army's Ground Vehicle Systems Center (GVSC). Manage operations to ensure actions/tasks are coordinated, staffed, and properly executed throughout GVSC guaranteeing timely, cohesive and accurate execution.

Responsible for receiving and responding to Requests for Information (RFI), official tasks, and operations orders from external organizations. Responsible for coordinating, obtaining concurrence and completing all specified and implied tasks in a timely fashion. Must staff tasks, track responses, and report outcomes and final responses to originating higher headquarters.

Provide information, analysis and recommendations within commander's intent to leadership for actions and decisions. Must be able to conduct staff analysis, develop courses of action, recommend courses of action, develop an execution plan, coordinate efforts, identify and assign tasks and oversee execution of all operations in GVSC.

Responsibilities
  • Participates in the planning, coordination, and development of current and future operations and functions.
  • Develops innovative solutions and mid-range plans for current and emerging operations and requirements.
  • Prepares, formulates, coordinates, and staffs a wide variety of operational correspondence, reports, messages, studies, and staff papers as required.
  • Establishes and maintains direct liaison activities and coordination with key military leaders, staff, and partners to ensure requirements are successfully processed and satisfied.
  • Attend/facilitate briefings, in progress reviews, and conference calls.
  • Coordinate, in conjunction with Protocol, high profile visits/town halls, and ceremonies.

Under the general direction, assists all facets of information management including executive office management, human resource management, program management, budget and manpower, event and conference planning and other deliverables as assigned. Supports the smooth flow of work for high ranking Government officials.

Assists multiple functional areas which may include finance, proposals, pricing, contracting, and human resources.

May assemble and analyze confidential information or data and develop reports.

Interfaces and coordinates with personnel within the operation and may act as a liaison with staff or administrative personnel in other operations as necessary.

Support client server administrator and policy guidance for all information management functions.

Support maintenance of web pages.

Analyzes, interprets, and provides data on technical matters concerning command policy.

Coordinates corporate projects and logistical details to ensure smooth operation of the department.

Ensures appropriate policies, processes and procedures are in place to facilitate prompt service delivery.

Ensures effective quality control/assurance measures are in place.

Stays abreast of developments in each functional field.

Maintains knowledge of applicable rules and regulations, both internal and external (State, Federal, FAR DFARS, etc.).

Provides excellent customer service to clients.

Complies with security procedures.

Performs additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Adept at multi-tasking and in meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Effective organizational skills.

The candidate must be able to obtain and hold a SECRET clearance.
