We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Release Manager/Program Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the release management lifecycle, which includes scheduling, coordinating, and managing releases across the platform for multiple applications. The candidate will also have unit management responsibilities for a team of Scrum Masters, ensuring that agile practices are followed and that the team is aligned with the overall project goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Release Management:
- Plan and manage the release schedules, ensuring timely and smooth delivery of software releases.
- Coordinate release activities across various teams, including development, testing, and operations.
- Monitor and track release progress, identifying and mitigating risks and issues.
- Ensure that all release processes and procedures are followed and documented.
- Coordinate with onshore release/program managers to ensure alignment and seamless integration of release activities across different time zones and regions.
- Demonstrate cultural awareness and sensitivity when working with onshore teams, fostering effective communication and collaboration.
- Program Management:
- Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of multiple projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives .
- Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and deliverables.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and provide regular status updates to stakeholders.
- Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.
- Unit Management:
- Lead and manage a team of Scrum Masters, providing guidance, support, and mentorship.
- Ensure that agile practices are followed and that the team is continuously improving.
- Conduct performance reviews and provide feedback to team members.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
- Effectively manage remote teams , ensuring clear communication, collaboration, and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in release management, program management, and agile methodologies.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills , with the ability to effectively convey information to various stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience with project management tools and software.
- Experience in risk management , with the ability to identify , assess, and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Agile and Scrum methodologies .
- Experience with release management tools such as Jenkins, Git, and Azure DevOps.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure.
- Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) .
- Ability to analyze and troubleshoot technical issues .
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in Agile, Scrum, or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSM, SAFe ).
- Experience working with distributed teams.
- Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
- Experience with version control systems like Git
