THE ROLE

Alight has its own pre-configured payroll solution in SAP. Next to that we have a middle ware solution that works as a single point of integration between Cloud HR solutions and certified integrations to local payrolls.

You will be working in a team of 11 ambitious professionals.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a application management payroll lead you have an important role in projects for our new customers. In workshops you will define the requirements of the customer, with help of a questionnaire and support from your team members. Based on this input you create a payroll design document for this customer, based on our standard configuration. After that you will lead the payroll team in building and testing the solution, and you are main contact person to customer and also to support other teams that are involved in the project, like data migration, integration team, testing team, operational readiness and change management. Communication with different stakeholders is an important part of the role.

The duration of such a project varies between a few months and more than a year, depending on the size and the complexity of the customer. We have many international customers with multi country payrolls. We have also several large one-country customers. The size of the NL payroll customers varies from 2 to 30.000 employees.

After a project is finished you will either move to another project or you are involved in the payroll maintenance of the new customer and maybe more existing customers. In this last role you will mainly focus on legal issues and more complex issues, and also in training and coaching more junior colleagues.

You will be part of the team in the Netherlands with experienced payroll specialists that works closely together with near shore teams in Granada (Spain). You will also have contact with other colleagues all over the world. The company language is English, but you must also to be able to speak Dutch with the customer.

We work mainly from home, and have a fixed day per week where the team meets in the office in Nieuwegein. During a project it can be that you have to visit the customer regularly in their offices.

REQUIREMENTS

You are a person that has a preference to work as a system administrator or a person that prefers to work as a IT project employee.

Language skills:

Dutch: fluent in writing and speaking

English: fluent in writing and speaking

Education: bachelor of science or equivalent, or an education in HR payroll

Experience:

3-5 years of experience in SAP payroll.

Knowledge about the Dutch payroll legislation

Nice to have:

Experience in (SAP) Time management

Able to program in ABAP

Experience with HR systems like SuccessFactors, Oracle or Workday
