Summary:
The Surgery Aide is responsible for cleaning designated areas and equipment within the Operating Room Department.
Responsibilities:
- Cleans designated areas and equipment within the Operating Room Department.
- Assists with inventory and transport of patients and beds within Surgical Services.
- Assists nursing staff with restocking supplies in OR suites; assists nursing staff with returning equipment upon completion of procedure.
- Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
- Other duties as required.

Technical Expertise
- Experience in a medical patient care environment is preferred.
- Experience in central processing and housekeeping is preferred.
- Experience working with all levels within an organization is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Proficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.
Education and Experience
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
- Certification: Heart Saver and AED is required within 90 days of hire.
- Years of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.
- Years of experience supervising: None.
