The Difference You Will Make:
We’re seeking an experienced and versatile team contributor to support a communications team that is building visibility and advancing awareness for the unique benefits and proximity to culture that staying on Airbnb offers. The Senior Manager Influencer, APAC will play a pivotal role in developing a unifying regional strategy and plan, working closely with the central (HQ) influencer team to align on global guidelines and priorities.
They will be an expert at crafting and executing compelling social-first stories and campaigns, ensuring that Airbnb remains at the forefront of pop culture and audience consciousness. This entails inspiring discovery, elevating consideration, and fostering advocacy for the brand. The incumbent will take charge of developing and implementing a dynamic regional social influencer program designed to align seamlessly with overarching communications objectives and campaigns across a spectrum of platforms, including TikTok, Instagram and Youtube.

A Typical Day:
- Provide insight into the development and implementation of a regional advanced social influencer strategy, collaborating with country comms teams, cross-functional teams and partners to establish ambitious goals and define influencer roles
- Work closely with country comms teams to support development of strong relationships with social-first content creators and influencers advising on deliverables, coordinating content timelines, and providing creative guidance.
- Review local influencer agencies in partnership with country teams and support with briefs, guidelines and protocols for regional influencer strategy and planning
- Support comprehensive research on regional influencer insights, delving into target audience behaviors and preferences, and staying abreast of emerging trends to inform influencer selection and content strategies.
- Identify trends, opportunities, and social conversations, leveraging insights to execute timely strategies.
- Support the monitoring, tracking, managing, and analyzing influencer campaigns, utilizing advanced analytics tools such as CreatorIQ and Sprinklr.
- Provide input on local country influencer strategies, offering best practices and ensuring alignment with global strategies and campaigns.
- Stay ahead of industry advancements and integrate innovative technologies and tools into influencer management processes, enhancing efficiency, effectiveness, and the overall impact of influencer campaigns.
- Foster strategic partnerships and collaborations with key players in the influencer marketing ecosystem that elevate the brand's influencer program to new heights.
Your Expertise:
- 8+ years experience in social or digital media and influencer work
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Deep knowledge and expertise in building and executing influencer strategies across Instagram, TikTok and Youtube.
- Proven body of work and direct 1:1 experience working with influencers, content creators, digital agencies, talent agents and platforms, including passion-based and tech/ product for large-scale and bespoke brand collaborations
- Experience with working across different APAC markets and an understanding of the regional influencer landscape (Japan, Korea, India, Thailand, Malaysia and Australia)
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Experience working with and managing multiple stakeholders
- Excellent attention to detail
- A passion for pop culture and trends
- Working knowledge and familiarity with social listening and influencer management tools i.e. Sprinklr, CreatorIQ
