The Difference You Will Make
As a Senior Programs and Business Operations Lead for Experiences (EMEA region), you will work with the Country Managers and Regional Director of EMEA to develop and execute strategies to grow the success of the Experiences business for EMEA. You will also align the functions operating in the countries behind common objectives and work with other teams in the organization to ensure our teams across supply, global markets, product, community, and marketing are aligned to our regional and country-level priorities and goals. Your attention to detail, organization, ability to multitask, work on multiple priorities and work under pressure will all ensure you succeed.
You should be great at understanding the needs of the Airbnb community and defining levers to help them succeed in the platform. You will develop strong relationships and deliver valuable guidance to help them grow within the Airbnb marketplace. You will be the bridge between the central business team and EMEA, and will be required to ensure there is a constant feedback loop to ensure the global strategy translates to regional execution plans.
A Typical Day:
- In the short term, the role will consist in shaping the levers and approach that should be developed at the region level to grow our experiences business.
- The role will also be instrumental in aligning all the functions and countries in order to achieve the objectives set up with the EMEA Leadership Team on Experiences goals and growth.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders. Own relationships between the multiple functional teams within the regional teams to ensure key cross-functional stakeholders stay aligned on priorities and goals.
- The person will be building the analysis and frameworks that will support the decisions taken in the country to achieve the goals and work closely with Supply and Country Managers to ensure the local city designs are incorporated into the plans.
- Work closely with in-country teams to ensure experiences are integrated to country-level strategies and initiatives.
- Develop initiatives to attract new guests (drive demand) while enhancing loyalty and lifetime value while ensuring the Hosts quality and pricing are ‘smartly competitive’
- Leverage your analytical skills to translate data-driven insights into actionable operational plans that enhance the performance of the Experiences business.
- Work closely with the Central Business - Experiences Team and Supply - Experiences Team to identify and pursue new markets, guest segments, and business opportunities.
- Work closely with Strategy Finance and Advanced Analytics teams to continue to further develop and grow the region and create operational efficiencies for Experiences
Your Expertise:
- 15+ years experience in consulting position, or strategy operations role and working across Europe and USA
- Proven experience in leading strategic and tactical execution within a large organization, with the ability to advise management on complex projects or issues
- Strong analytical abilities combined with a deep understanding of guest needs and market dynamics. Ability to distill complex information into clear business strategies
- Experience working cross-functionally with product, marketing, sales operations and enablement teams
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
- Ability to manage complex projects and multi-task with excellent organization skills.
- Pays attention to both details and macro-level outcomes
- Seasoned internal and external communicator with strong interpersonal skills
- Data driven, can do attitude, strategic thinker and passion for new products and solutions.
- Comfortable with Excel, with preference for those with SQL experience
- Comfortable navigating ambiguity and working independently to execute complex programs. A strategic thinker with a passion for innovation
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic and ever changing startup environment
- Ability to flourish with minimal guidance, be proactive, and handle uncertainty and ambiguity.
