Primary Purpose
The role manages the overall forecasting, analysis and performance management process for Health & Sustainability, including global and local requirements (Long Term Plan, Short Term Incentives (STI), Long Term Incentives (LTI), Dow Jones Sustainability Index (DJSI), quarterly scorecards, store operational reports) for the annual, quarterly, and periodic planning associated with reporting across all health and sustainability goals and performance measures as well as General and Administrative cost centers.

The role drives alignment inside the H&S product owner teams and partners with the reporting team in ESG Finance to deliver and support performance management tools for US brands as well as consolidated regional reporting that services in support of Ahold Delhaize global needs for reporting in the annual report, aligning on definitions and reporting requirements.
The role works with the Director Data and Analytics and the H&S Program/product managers in the quarterly, annual, and multi-years target setting process by providing year-over-year data trends and advising on anomalies within the data.
The role requires coordination across all US data business owners.
The role is a key partner with ESG Finance for gaining and maintaining alignment with US brands and data owners on reporting, measurement methodologies, definitions, and data governance. The breadth of the role touches merchandising, operations, store development, facilities, energy, supply chain, private brands, safety at work, Human Resources, etc. The role coordinates forecasting, planning, modelling and the reporting framework that spans multiple hundreds of data contributors and validations, requiring coordination across many teams.
The role requires assessing process improvement opportunities with the ESG Finance reporting team and business owners with proper changes and implementation for accurate reporting. The role drives the process and supports the Director with proper procedure changes that arise from the multi-year strategic project to bring rigor to ESG (Environmental Sustainability Governance) data, reporting, modeling, analytics, and insights.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC, Quincy, MA and Scarborough, ME.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis and target setting process in support or the key KPIs, and programs for Health and Sustainability. Provide insights of year-over-year trends and anomalies to help guide the forecasting for in-year and three-year targets.
- Key manager and internal partner for H&S leaders to set and deliver GAE budgets, forecasts, and periodic financial recaps for each area of Health & Sustainability.
- Manage the Coupa expense reporting system for all Health & Sustainability relationships to ensure all business consulting contracts, material expenses, contractors, and subsequent invoices are processed timely and in line with budget and forecast.
- Advise team on process improvements and guide them in process changes and implementation for more accurate forecasting, performance management, and reporting procedures
- Collaborate with ESG Finance in the annual, quarterly, and periodic reporting done across all health and sustainability goals and performance. Ensure accuracy of data, timely submissions, and proper procedures are followed.
- Lead coordination of the forecasting, performance management and support the reporting process across US business teams to ensure seamless reporting and collaboration with Brands, H&S program owners, and ESG Finance.
- Coordination with ESG Finance and Group Healthy & Sustainability Team and Group Finance Team to align definitions, reporting requirements, quarterly flux analysis and submission of quarterly results through the Enablon and SUSTAIN reporting systems.
- Partner with ESG Finance to support the relationship with the external auditor US Team for the annual audit of all health and sustainability data. Ensure there is proper engagement and coordination among the health and sustainability team and business owners.
- Advise Risk & Controls team with expert knowledge on process and control design to strengthen the control framework

Qualifications
- Minimum bachelor's degree
- Minimum years' experience: 6-8 years in data and analytics with experience in financial modeling performance management and sustainability reporting
- Has passion for sustainability and interest in driving societal impacts
Preferred Qualifications
- Masters degree preferred, in related subject (such as sustainability or business administration/management)
