Primary Purpose
Directors of Sales are an integral part of the team and responsible for driving revenue and partnership growth for omnichannel retail media programs. This is a player - coach role responsible for a personal book of business and a POD Lead with direct reports.

Director of Sales is focused on generating revenue throughout the pre- and post-sales process across ADRM. This includes managing an existing book of business alongside an assigned Account Manager and additional counterparts meeting / exceeding established revenue goals as well as generating net new revenue through growing brand/agency partnerships and internal cross-functional collaboration with Category Merchant Teams that supports a supplier's business growth across the banners of ADUSA.
The Sales Lead role will be positioned as a part of our growing retail media network team to coordinate sales and manage client relationships in the CPG categories across our vast portfolio of capabilities that are Onsite (Display, SPA, SFV, High Impact) Off-site both through our partner Epsilon and other 3rd parties and At-Store and beyond which includes our connected store capabilities including in-store screens, in store audio and more.
ADRM is a part of a global framework connected with peers in our Global Ahold Delhaize Community to develop and deliver best in class retail media.
Our flexible/ hybrid work schedule includes 3 in-person days at one of our core locations and 2 remote days. Our core office locations include Salisbury, NC , Chicago, IL, Quincy, MA, Carlisle, PA, Scarborough, ME, and Hyattsville, MD.

Duties and Responsibilities
• Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend performance enhancements
• Collaborate with internal teams (account management, ad operations, creative, analytics, development) to ensure seamless experience for both the retailer & suppliers
• Lead a cross-brand HUB representing ADRM to Category Teams responsible for the growth of suppliers across the brands of ADUSA. Providing supplier revenue updates, collaborate on New Item introductions, innovation and marketing tent poles.
• Communicate with local brand teams (Category Managers, Marketing) regarding account outreach, pipeline, messaging + SKU prioritization, URL confirmation, etc.
• Track outreach & sales activity pipeline using CRM tool (ie, Salesforce)
• Lead Top to Top, QBR and Annual Negotiations with assigned suppliers with presentations that clearly articulate the ADRM value proposition, opportunity for growth across ADUSA through strategic, data led materials.
• Coach, guide and mentor team members on best practices, conduct evaluations and career pathing with those assigned to respective POD.
• Be viewed as a Trusted Advisor to CPG partners and lead with Solution Selling framework that leads with data that helps support suppliers' growth across the brands of ADUSA (Food Lion, The Giant Company, Giant Food, Hannaford and Stop and Shop)
• Responsible for Top Tier Suppliers across the designated category alignment
• Utilize existing networks & intelligence tools to identify & contact prospective brand and agency contacts
• Offer smart client research, trends & ideas (i.e. valid business reasons) to drive interest & cultivate relationships
• Research each brand organization to uncover different rivers of funding (shopper marketing, brand, ecommerce, national media agency) with the intent to simultaneously unlock and elevate each relationship
Qualifications
• Working knowledge of retail, eCommerce and digital monetization programs as well as AdTech Industry knowledge
• Understand commercial retail landscape and experience working closely with Category Merchants, Shopper Marketing and Loyalty leads across a retailer's ecosystem
• Strong organization skills - proving the ability to prioritize to ensure deadlines are met
• Ability to problem solve focused on being solution oriented
• Solution oriented mindset that presents by leading with data. Knowledge of various data tools such as Circana, PowerBi, as well as conducts independent research
• Experience in various CRM, Sales Intelligence and Ad Server platforms and/or the ability and willingness to learn quickly
• Proficient in Microsoft and Google suite products
• Proven history of exceeding sales goals and existing in-roads with media contacts at CPG companies and agencies
• Efficient time management skills - able to sustain timeline management and campaign deliverables
• Strong understanding of CPG environment either through direct sales experience or similar exposure
• Comfortable with Media Products, Strategic Planning and DSP, DMP, PMP terminology & discussion
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Strong interpersonal skills to manage day by day client communication
• Strategic mindset to develop media recommendations and deliver revenue goals
Preferred Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in marketing, business or related field
• Owns the room (even virtually) - present dynamically and instill confidence to challenge our clients in a kind, smart and creative way to ensure we are doing what is best for both businesses long-term
• Proven thought leader in strategic planning and operational efficiencies
• Excellent interpersonal communication skills

Salary Range: $104,783-$157,174
