As the VP of professional services, you will lead a global team of project managers, implementation managers and performance optimization managers. Together, this team is dedicated to our customer’s integration excellence and their continued optimization and growth with Adyen.

We are seeking a visionary VP of professional services to drive this transformation and redefine how our professional services team should evolve to effectively meet the challenges of our future scale.
Your core mission will be to inspire and engage the team; to drive an operating model and rhythm that enables predictability and discipline, reduces everyday friction and creates focus. This includes strengthening organizational capabilities, growing our human capital, empowering our teams with the tools needed to undertake their daily work with ease, having the right engagement model, and ultimately, delivering measurable impact and outcomes.
You will report to the Global Head of Operations and be part of our global operations leadership team.
What You’ll Do
- Define a transformative Professional Services Strategy: Architect and champion the vision for steering this organization towards a highly scalable and value adding experience, with a sharp focus on effective scale and distinguished customer experience.
- Lead focused execution: You will lead with a sense of urgency, and drive focus to deliver on what matters. You will review and build an organization set up that effectively supports execution.,
- Drive business outcome: Define, track, and pursue key metrics that reflect business excellence and operational efficiency. Collaborate closely with tech, commercial, and other operations teams on joint success, and winning as a team.
- Lead with inspiration: build, mentor and manage a high performing team. Foster a culture of excellence, innovation and accountability. You will promote talent development, and ensure the team has the necessary skills and expertise to succeed. You will encourage and have an effective model for cross regional and departmental service delivery and knowledge sharing.
Who You Are
- A seasoned professional services exec with a proven track record of leading through periods of hypergrowth, driving excellence and operational efficiency in an ever-changing environment.
- Deeply customer-obsessed, with empathy for the customer experience and a demonstrated ability to translate operating models to meet complex customer challenges and deliver true value adding services.
- A strategic thinker adept at using data-driven insights to challenge the status quo, make timely decisions, and measure execution effectiveness at scale.
- Experienced in leading large, distributed, cross-functional organizations, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and collaboration across product, engineering, commercial and other operations teams.
- A leader with intention and gravitas, you are known and respected by your teams and colleagues as someone that has a vision and gets things done, with experience leading large teams internationally.
- A deep understanding of the professional services lifecycle, from pre-sales, implementation to post-imp support, and the ability to drive service excellence at every stage, and at scale.
- Highly skilled at building relationships with senior stakeholders of our customers
- A background in fintech is a strong plus.
