Adyen’s Merchant Finance & Treasury team is on a mission to optimize and automate core money flows for scale while mitigating risks on Adyen’s Balance Sheet. Our team support’s Adyen’s growth ambitions through customer-centricity, operational excellence, innovation, and integrity.

The Financial Partnerships team within Merchant Finance & Treasury strengthens relationships with our global network of key Financial Institutions and Central Banks. As embedded payments become increasingly strategic, these financial partnerships help us deliver best-in-class payments experience for our merchants. Globally, we manage 30+ banking partnerships and 3 central bank partnerships, while our entire team remains 100% Amsterdam-based to support Adyen’s collaborative work culture. 

Reporting directly to the Global Head of Financial Partnerships, the Treasury Manager, Financial Partnerships will play a pivotal role in strategic decision-making, offering creative solutions and mentorship to peers within the team.

What you’ll do

  • Strengthen strategic partnerships with new and existing financial institutions through active, open exchange of ideas/knowledge, win-win solutions and serve as the primary point of escalation as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams on new integrations, ensuring banking providers deliver best-in-class technical expertise and service.
  • Access our current network of Financial Institutions with external market research and internal insights from Financial Operations teams on partner bank performance. Proactively scope potential alternative banking partnerships & conduct RFIs/RFPs. 
  • Negotiate pricing agreements, interest rates and strategically right-size our credit facilities and intraday credit lines.  
  • Assist our Treasury team in hedging and funding setups through partner bank selection and contract negotiations (e.g. ISDA)

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in treasury, banking or FinTech. 
  • Experience in building and/or managing multi-entity, multi-currency bank account structures– either on the Treasury side or Banking side. Experience with intraday and overnight credit lines is advantageous but not required. 
  • Experience in evaluating/presenting banking partner capabilities through RFIs/ or RFPs– either on the Treasury side or Banking side
  • Excellent presentation, negotiation, and communication skills with experience independently leading negotiations.
  • You thrive in a dynamic environment and want to work in a rapidly changing industry.
