The Tech Enablement Team is a cross-functional group that brings together Engineering, Product, and UX to help teams work better together by introducing shared practices and ways of working that reduce friction, and enable scalable, accountable ways of working across our global Tech Hubs. As a key pillar of Tech Enablement, the Tech Academy sits at the intersection of training, enablement and delivery and is aimed to accelerate functional and collaborative skill development, deepen capabilities, and embed consistent, scalable ways of working across our global teams via focused training programs. By aligning people and practices, the Tech Academy helps teams grow and deliver on our strategic priorities.
As the Team Lead Tech Academy, you will set the future direction of the Academy. You will define the strategy, build the team, and work alongside leadership to shape scalable functional learning programs that enable how we build and deliver technology at scale and lead the execution from end to end. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who can reimagine and rebuild not just run what already exists.
What you’ll do

- Define and deliver a new learning strategy for the Tech Academy that strengthens our teams’ capabilities to build and deliver technology at scale.
- Partner with Tech leadership and collaborate with L&D and relevant other Academies to align priorities and position the Academy as a strategic enabler for Tech.
- Drive the creation and adoption of learning solutions covering areas such as Adyen's core tech stack, product landscape, and fundamental UX principles, fostering a shared understanding and collaborative approach across Product, Engineering, and UX teams.
- Drive the adoption of shared practices and technical excellence by embedding learning into the flow of work, supporting the rollout of frameworks, and enabling communities of practice.
- Use data and feedback to assess effectiveness, improve programs, and continually increase relevance and impact across cultures, Tech Hubs, and disciplines.
Who you are?
- You’re entrepreneurial and strategic, with a track record of building learning solutions and teams from the ground up, especially in fast-paced, technical environments.
- You effectively align senior leaders and stakeholders, and you know how to get buy-in and drive initiatives forward with decisive action.
- You proactively identify capability gaps and opportunities across the tech organization and turn them into scalable, practical solutions that raise the bar.
- You foster a culture of inclusion, feedback, and continuous development, and you know how to inspire others around a shared purpose.
- You excel in cross-functional collaboration, aligning teams and stakeholders to deliver on shared goals.
Additional Requirements
- Experience: 5-7 years in learning & development or technical enablement, or a related field in a fast-paced tech environment, including at least 3 years of experience building and leading teams, including hiring, developing, and scaling high-performing talent.
- Cross-functional expertise: Deep familiarity with how Engineering, Product, and UX teams collaborate to deliver technology at scale.
- Strategic communication: Skilled at influencing and aligning technical and non-technical stakeholders, with a proven ability of partnering effectively across functions and leadership levels.
