Role Overview:

As the Team Lead Pricing, Development, you will take charge of leading and overseeing the Pricing Development team within Adyen's Platforms & Financial Services Solution. Your team's mission is to develop cutting-edge tools and software that play a pivotal role in driving our financial success, with a primary focus on expanding access to pricing capabilities to help the business achieve its aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with design, product, engineers, data engineers, and other key stakeholders within Adyen to foster seamless collaboration and drive product development excellence
• Product Strategy: Craft a long-term vision for your team's product, striking a pragmatic balance between trade-offs and aligning it with the overarching company vision
• Team Motivation and Coaching: Exhibit leadership and inspire your team members, acting as a catalyst by coaching in areas such as engineering best practices, scalable architecture design, and product roadmap planning
• Goal Setting: Establish clear individual and team objectives that harmonize with Adyen's strategic data objectives, working closely with the product manager to achieve alignment
• Team Environment: Cultivate an inspirational and collaborative team environment characterized by open communication and a culture of constructive feedback
• Talent Acquisition: Lead the recruitment of new team members who embody the Adyen culture and possess the requisite skills to make meaningful contributions

Requirements:

• Experience: You bring a wealth of experience, with 7+ years in the software development industry within a fast-paced tech environment, including at least 2 years of leadership experience
• Technical Proficiency: You demonstrate expertise in Core Java, web services, queueing frameworks, REST APIs, and SQL/PostgreSQL. Some experience with front-end technologies and UI preferred
• Innovative Mindset: You relish challenging the status quo and possess an innate curiosity to question the "why."
• Leadership Qualities: You are a dynamic self-starter adept at fostering alignment across multiple teams, with strong coaching and mentoring capabilities
• Strategic Thinking: You have a track record of collaborating with senior leadership to shape strategic direction, including product roadmaps
• Communication and Team Player: As an exceptional communicator, you foster a culture of collaboration while exhibiting robust management skills and technical acumen
