As a Project Operations Manager based in Singapore, you’ll be responsible for the delivery of complex, cross-border projects, with a focus on China-based merchants expanding globally. While these merchants may not operate directly in Mainland China, they require strong international payment solutions to support their growth. Given the nature of the role, fluency in Mandarin is essential. Adyen’s Unified Commerce platform - which enables payments across in-store, mobile, and e-commerce channels - is key to helping these merchants offer seamless, scalable experiences worldwide.
The successful and ongoing deployment of physical point-of-sale solutions involves substantial logistical complexities. Due to our continued success in this area, we are expanding our team in Singapore and seeking a Project Operations Manager. As an expert in delivering intricate technical solutions with experience in retail systems and implementation management, you will collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless service deployment for clients integrating with our platform.
What You'll Do:
- Manage global, end-to-end point-of-sale rollouts for our merchants in mainland China, ensuring they are fully prepared to deploy our solution in their physical stores abroad.
- Collaborate closely with client project and technical teams, third parties (e.g., technical integration partners), and global peers to ensure specific deliverables are met on time.
- Liaise with all parties involved in the delivery process to ensure clients are fully prepared for store deployments within strict timelines.
- Understand clients' network topologies, provide best practices, and troubleshoot network issues.
- Work closely with commercial teams to identify merchant pain points and develop the most suitable solutions for our China-based merchants.
- Contribute to internal process improvement initiatives to help our business scale.
- Provide and receive product feedback to drive continuous improvement in future projects.
Who You Are:
- Experienced in setting up complex technical projects involving multiple stakeholders.
- Possess at least 4 years of project management experience, with a bonus for experience in hardware or payments.
- A hands-on individual who can engage with existing processes and manage stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
- Exhibit excellent project management skills and the ability to lead and manage detailed, time-sensitive initiatives with minimal supervision.
- Capable of seamlessly interfacing and cooperating with a global team, adapting to international time constraints as needed.
- Possess a strong problem-solving mindset, capable of analyzing and resolving network issues efficiently.
- Fully proficient in both Mandarin and English.
- Work experience abroad and/or in multicultural teams is a plus.
- Willingness to travel, both domestically and internationally, when required.
