We’re looking for a Product & Project Manager combined role to drive innovation in Adyen’s Documentation Tools team. This role is pivotal in enhancing how developers and customers from our customers and partners integrate with Adyen, how they find and consume the information they need for a smooth integration with Adyen.

As Adyen scales, your goal is to ensure that our documentation platform is efficient, standardized, and optimized, reducing operational support and empowering customers to achieve faster time-to-value with minimal overhead. 

The role will be divided into two main responsibilities, as a Product Manager for the Docs Tooling team and as a Project Manager for the Technical Writers in Adyen. Due to the strong link between the two teams we see great value in a single person bridging the gap. 

General Responsibilities:

Product Related Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategy: Lead the end-to-end Docs Tooling, focusing on seamless and efficient information consumption for our customers and partners. 
  • Developer Tooling & Automation: Create industry-leading documentation tools - such as public documentation, automated integration health checks, and monitoring systems that ensure scalability and reduce friction for developers.
  • Simplify Integrations: Partner with developer advocates, the Docs Tech Lead, and other key stakeholders to improve the integration experience for customers.  provide Adyen customers with easy discoverability and enhanced integration experience. 
  • Self-Service: Design integration tools that allow customers to independently identify and resolve issues, reducing reliance on customer support as early as the planning phase . 
  • Monitoring: Build monitoring and alert systems to proactively detect and resolve integration issues before customers need support.Shift accountability for integration health from operational support to technical teams by embedding proactive error detection and KPI monitoring within the product.

Project Related Key Responsibilities 

  • Collaboration - Collaborate with the Docs Team Lead and technical writers, function as a user experience strategist, improving the feedback loop between documentation users and writers.
  • Execution - Acts as a technical project planner and coordinator - Lead the end-to-end (E2E) process of upgrading the documentation tech stack by researching current tools (e.g., Grav, Intelli-J), evaluating alternatives, and coordinating the migration or replacement process.
  • Vision - Plan and manage the integration of AI solutions into documentation workflows, from identifying use cases (e.g., content generation, tagging) to selecting tools and overseeing implementation.

Who you are:

  • Product Manager experience preferred: 3 years of experience conceiving and launching successful, scalable B2B products that deliver measurable value to large enterprise customers.
  • Proven project management capabilities required (for example, leading a large-scale project start to finish).
  • Documentation Experience and Passion: Strong desire to take our Docs tooling (Documentation + API Explorer) to the next level.
  • Technical Expertise: Strong technical acumen with the ability to define problems effectively with technical counterparts while maintaining a high-level perspective to guide strategic decision-making. (Experience with APIs, Webhooks, Development Tooling and Data.)
  • Driven by curiosity, always eager to explore how systems work — from platform performance and application architecture to product scalability.
  • Strong communicator and ambassador, unafraid to challenge the status quo to drive meaningful improvements.
  • Thrives in a global environment, collaborating across multiple offices and time zones.
  • Fast learner with a 'launch fast, iterate often' approach, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Team-first mentality, valuing collaboration and collective success over individual recognition.
