What You'll Do
- Own the strategy and execution of your partnership portfolio. You'll identify, recruit, and manage a portfolio of partners, building a plan to create value and drive growth for both them and Adyen.
- Be the key liaison between our partners and our internal teams. You'll work closely with our sales, marketing, and product teams to ensure our partnerships are successful.
- Drive results. You’ll be responsible for key business metrics, including partner-driven revenue and opportunities. You'll have the autonomy to make decisions and be accountable for the outcomes.
- Develop your own voice. You will become a thought leader in the fintech ecosystem, providing valuable insights to your partners and our organization.
We’re hiring a Commercial Partnerships Manager to drive Adyen’s growth in North America through the creation and management of partner ecosystems. In this critical role, you will be entrusted with cultivating and expanding relationships with systems integrators (SIs), consultancies & global technology platforms to bring to life the immense competitive advantage which Adyen can provide to the world’s most recognised brands.
The ideal candidate possesses a proven track record in long-term relationship building within a complex environment, exceptional negotiation skills, an ability to blend both business and product expertise, and an astute commercial awareness to see, articulate and execute vision. Crucially, the candidate must have the ability to influence stakeholders and be comfortable owning/delivering on commercial KPIs (i.e. opportunity creation, joint-value propositions, ensuring best-in-class integrations, Go-to-Market (GMT) planning/execution etc.).
As an integral part of a high performance team, you will play a crucial role in scaling our partnership organization to drive enterprise pipeline growth for the sales organization, contributing to the acceleration of our overall business growth trajectory and thought leadership on the evolution of the Payments ecosystem. What You’ll Do
- Own Strategy: Shape and execute a comprehensive partnerships strategy for your portfolio
- Cultivate Relationships: Build and nurture strong partnerships with a focussed portfolio of partners across technology platforms and leading professional services firms
- Manage Lifecycle: Lead the recruitment, onboarding, training, and ongoing support of partners to ensure their effective representation and delivery of Adyen’s solutions
- Optimize GTM Efforts: Strategize and execute partnership initiatives that align with our objectives, amplifying our go-to-market strategies
- Negotiate Strategic Terms: Oversee existing partnerships and identify new opportunities, ensuring terms resonate with our strategic goals
- Bridge Communication: Act as a liaison between partners and internal teams, facilitating seamless execution and communication to build trust
- Thought Leadership: Provide insights into the evolving Payments ecosystem, contributing to our partners’ and organization’s success
- Innovation: Demonstrate Adyen's cutting-edge financial technology solution
- Product: Ensure technical integrations are developed to support the partnership to enable Merchants to access to full suite of products across Adyen and Partners
- Collaboration: Work together with Adyen's global partnerships, sales, account management and marketing teams
- Willingness to travel (~30%+ of the time)
Who You Are
- 5-8+ years of experience in a business development role, with consistent evidence of high performance
- Proven track record building and leveraging partnerships within a technology ecosystem
- Experience with, and passion for, both GTM strategy & execution and product strategy; comfortable getting deep on product details while also going deep with in-market teams on partner/market needs
- Ability to think and operate like an entrepreneur, a go-getter mentality and see the bigger picture in channel management using a global and commercial mindset
- Thoughtful strategic thinker with a bias for action and a creative mind; comfortable operating in a fast-moving environment with a high degree of ambiguity
- Excellent organizational skills as we are a flat organization with a lot of autonomy
- Desire to engage deeply with cross-functional partners across Product, Strategy, Sales, and Marketing
- This role is based out of our San Francisco office
- This is a full-time position with the ability to work a minimum of 40 hours/week (with a min 3 days in-office)
- You have full professional proficiency (written and verbal) in English
Location: San Francisco or New York
