What you should know about the role
The Loan Processor is accountable for boarding and auditing of loan files including indirect, leasing, and fintech lending partners. Processors need to ensure accuracy and completeness of work in an often fast-paced environment. Job requires a high attention to detail to ensure proper handling of new loan boarding, lien placements, payoff processing, and document imaging. Also provides general administrative aid for the loan department. This is accomplished by providing outstanding sales and service to both internal and external members as defined by our Sales and Service Promises and Standards as well as living and demonstrating the core values of the credit union; Act with Integrity, Drive Progress, Build & Strengthen Relationships and Keep People at the Core.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Demonstrates proficiency with processing all loan types including but not limited to Advia's indirect lending, leasing, and fintech programs. Across all programs, identifies and recommends opportunities for process improvements and provides outstanding service to internal & external stakeholders.
- Prepares and reconciles daily, weekly, and monthly lending reports such as charge backs, ACH payments, refund plus, and funding failures.
- Conducts loan audits to verify adherence to established loan policies and underwriting guidelines. Takes action to resolve exceptions, addresses any discrepancies and informs management as required.
- Processes and maintains application of title for all new vehicle loans to ensure proper lien placement. Prepares packets for new members that are acquired through all lending channels.
- Accurately prepares all loan files and other ancillary documents for neat and orderly filing process. Completes scanning and filing daily to ensure documents are maintain in accordance with the credit unions record retention guidelines.
- Maintains and develops professional abilities by: attending regular peer-level team meetings, educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies; and otherwise maintaining professional and technical knowledge.
- Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control. Additionally, all employees must follow policies and procedures to minimize risk by exercising judgment, raising questions to management, and adhering to policy guidelines.
Requirements
Experience
Under one year of similar or preparatory experience.
Education/Certifications/Licenses
A high school degree or equivalent
Interpersonal Skills
A significant level of trust, credibility and diplomacy is required. In-depth dialogue, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors can be of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Communications may involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance. Typically includes subject matter experts as well as first level to middle managers.
Physical Requirements
Perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 5 lbs. Must be capable of climbing/descending stairs in emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including telephone, copier, facsimile, and calculator. Must be able to routinely perform work on computer for an average of 6-8 hours per day. Must be able to work extended hours whenever required or requested by management. Must by capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.
Working Conditions
Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with moderate noise.
