Summary:

The Manager of Cybersecurity Incident Response will lead the organization's efforts to prepare for, respond to, and recover from cybersecurity incidents. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a deep understanding of cybersecurity risk management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain the organization's incident response plan and processes to ensure timely and effective handling of cybersecurity incidents.
  • Own and manage the relationship with third-party Managed Detection and Response vendor, ensuring that SLAs and performance levels are met.
  • Lead the incident response team, providing guidance and direction during incident detection, analysis, containment, eradication, and recovery phases.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external partners to manage responses to cybersecurity incidents.
  • Conduct post-incident reviews and generate reports detailing incident findings, actions taken, and recommendations for future prevention and improvements.
  • Stay abreast of the latest cybersecurity threats and trends to continuously improve the incident response strategy and plan.
  • Provide training and awareness programs to enhance the organization's incident response capabilities.
  • Manage the resources and tools necessary for the incident response team to function effectively.

Preferred Experience and Skills:

  • Proven experience in cybersecurity incident response or related field.
  • Experience with vendors such as Crowdstrike, Palo Alto, Microsoft, SentinelOne.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in challenging situations.
  • Relevant certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Certified Incident Handler (GCIH) are preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in cybersecurity, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.

Location:

  • Position is fully remote.

Compensation and benefits statement:

The salary range for this role is $83,726-$167,452 and is based on experience and qualifications.

Certain roles are eligible for annual bonus and may include equity. These awards are allocated based on company and individual performance.

We offer employees access to healthcare benefits, a 401(k) plan and company match, short-term and long-term disability coverage, life insurance, wellbeing benefits and paid time off among others. Employees accrue up to 120 hours in their first year. Your accrual rate increases after your first year. We also offer 6 paid holidays.
