Your Role:

Our Global Employment Tax team seeks a Tax Associate, Employment Tax, EMEA to support various areas of employment tax to ensure compliance in our global locations. Based in or wonderful City West location in Dublin, this role will play a vital role to focus on analysing, managing, and optimising employment tax-related activities. You will provide a blend of technical tax expertise, analytical skills, project management skills, and the ability to navigate complex regulatory environment.

What you'll do:

  • Lead all aspects of tax compliance to ensure the company align with tax regulations related to employment tax, including income tax, payroll tax, and social security tax;
  • Provide advice on employment tax matters to cross functional partners & business. This will include guidance on the tax implications of compensation, benefits, travel & expenses, remote work/frequent business travels/cross border moves, and tax efficient regimes;
  • Lead strategically global projects with various internal partners (e.g., Payroll, Equity, Benefit, Tax, Legal, HR, Global Mobility, and external advisor) and be able to provide comprehensive project reports and documentation;
  • Supports employment tax audits, gathering and analysing data, helping to respond to information requests. Identifying and mitigating tax-related risks is also a key part of this responsibility;
  • Leads the team's efforts to stay apprised of changing tax laws and regulations that may impact the business, and proactively addressing any necessary actions, communications or educations;
  • Identify and drive operational improvement and adoption of market standard methodologies (processes, digital tools, tax positions etc.) to improve overall operational efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Responsible for being a great partner with cross functional teams to ensure effective communication and collaboration ;
  • Manage and collaborate with the external tax providers to provide the best experience for Adobe and our employees;

What you need to succeed

  • 3+ years of relevant experience to the role;
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in accounting, finance, tax or related filed;
  • Technical proficiency in areas of tax compliance including payroll tax, benefit tax, equity related tax issues and regulatory compliance globally;
  • Highly motivated with a strong sense of ownership, responsibility, attention to detail, and experience in managing multiple projects/tasks concurrently;
  • Good interpersonal skills and can simply articulate well reasoned judgements in an ambiguous and fast paced environment;
  • Self-starter who possesses the intellectual curiosity to delve beyond the surface of a particular issue;
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and work effectively under pressure;
  • Mastery in calculations, graphing, tables, and automation to process large quantities of data to manage relevant analytic projects;
  • Preferred certifications: CPA (Certified Public Accountant)/ACA or FCA (Chartered Accountant)/ EA (Enrolled Agent)
