Midtown CPA firm is seeking a Tax Manager to join its team.
Responsibilities
- Review of business, trusts, estates and individual multi-state tax returns
- Review engagement workpapers
- Identify client tax needs and pursue tax planning opportunities
- Research of tax issues and providing guidance to clients
- Respond to notices from tax authorities and handle tax examinations
- Manage compliance process
- Communicates with Partner of work status and client issues that arise
- Develop and maintain strong working relationships with clients
- Ability to work in a paperless environment
Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting; Master's in Taxation is preferred
- Must have active CPA license or equivalent certification
- 6+ years of public accounting experience,
- Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
- Must have excellent client service and technical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills
