Our client located in the heart of downtown Chicago has an immediate opening for a Staff Accountant. This is an excellent opportunity for someone that has experience within the Professional Services industry and looking to grow with a medium sized firm.
Responsibilities include:
- Participate in the preparation of various financial statements and reports
- Verify accounting records to validate receipts and expenditures, and assists in month end close
- Prepare and record deposits (check and credit card receipts)
- Perform monthly reconciliations, general ledger, AR, AP, journal entries, and various reporting as needed
- Assist with audit preparation and month end close
- Assist with financial analysis as needed

Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance
- Advanced Excel
- SAP, Oracle or Great Plains
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Staff Accountant
