Our client, a dynamic non-profit located in the Arlington, VA area, is seeking a staff accountant for a contract-to-hire opportunity due to some growth in the organization. The ideal candidate will have one or more years' of accounting experience, preferably in a non-profit setting, advanced Excel skills, and will be available to start immediately.
Primary Responsibilities:
- GL maintenance and account reconcilation
- Assist with audit activities
- Full cycle responsibility of both AP and AR
- Assist with ad hoc reporting and budget preparation
Qualifications:
- 1+ years' experience in a GL accounting role (preferably in a non-profit)
- BS in Accounting or other business related field
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Available to start immediately
