CVPartners is looking for a Sourcing Manager for a software client up in San Francisco. As a Sourcing Manager, you will be responsible for handling the company's end to end sourcing operations. The successful candidate will be able to appraise and improve our sourcing activities by analyzing the company's spending, supplying partnerships, and new possibilities . They will learn about the company's capabilities and make sure they align with the client's needs, able to request contracts with terms and conditions, pricing, etc. They will also negotiate the contracts terms and pricing to get the best deal for the client and get vendors onboarded. This role is contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities
  • Manage the company's supply portfolio ensuring transparency of spending
  • Generate and implement efficient sourcing and category management strategies
  • Analyze and calculate costs of procurement and suggest methods to decrease expenditure
  • Evaluate current and new vendors
  • Negotiate terms and conditions, pricing, expertise, capabilities, etc.
  • Optimize sourcing procedures to attain maximum efficiency
  • Cooperate with stakeholders to guarantee agreement on terms and processes
  • Perform cost and scenario analysis, and benchmarking
  • Estimate risks and apply risk minimizing techniques
  • Determine quantity and timing of deliveries

Requirements
  • 5-7 years' experience as a Sourcing Manager, Procurement Manager, or similar role.
  • Contract Review/Contract Management Review experience
  • Familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software
  • Skilled in SPIN Analysis/Spin Analytics
  • Understanding of market dynamics and sound business judgement
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
  • Ability to negotiate and sustain networking relationships
  • Comfortable with figures and in collecting, analyzing and interpreting data
  • Experience in high-tech industry (preferred, but not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or similar field
