Junior Systems Administrator

Location: Austin, TX

Job Responsibilities:

• • Microsoft Administration: Assist with maintaining and managing Active Directory, Exchange Online, Azure AD, Windows servers & PCs, Microsoft SQL, Office 365, and Teams/Skype conferencing.
• • VMware/ESXi Administration: Provide assistance to higher level technicians with maintaining and configuring large, multi-site VMware environment, Rubrik VM backup appliances, virtual networking, alarms, certs, and physical hardware (SANs, servers, and switches).
• • Network Administration: Assist with maintaining and managing Cisco ASAs, Cisco switches, VPNs (S2S and end user), subnetting, IDS/IPS systems, and endpoint proxies.
• • Security & Proactive Maintenance: Regularly monitor all systems with the goal of fixing problems before they are problems and recommending upgrades when necessary. Maintain security best practices and end user guidelines. Maintain checklists and records to document all processes and projects.
• • Vendor Maintenance: Coordinate and consult with vendors for hardware/software support.
• Phone System: maintain Fonality phone system & PolyCom handsets and assist with administering Verizon cell service.
• End user support: Be first line support/contact for all help desk tickets. Ensure SLA's are met and escalate to upper level technicians when workload or task is beyond capability.
