Sr. Java Engineer
Remote in US (must be located in US)
Responsibilities
- Coding, test and reviewing code work for accuracy and functionality
- Participating in design phase of software development
- Creating UML Sequence and Class diagrams
- Assisting in planning and creating standards for projects
- Implementing projects, analyzing data, coding segments, plans and schematics of applications
- Assisting in IT issue triages and resolutions.
- Communicating technical information, both written and verbal, effectively to other team members, teams and customers of varying technical experience
- Working collaboratively with other team members, teams and customers on projects
Qualifications
- Have 7+ years of experience working as a Java developer
- Have 5+ years of experience in Java enterprise software development
- Experienced with various development processes: Agile, XP, Continuous Integration, Waterfall etc.
Skills
- JIRA
- Spring Framework or equivalent
- Familiar with commonly used Design Patterns
- Java and Groovy. Candidates must be highly experienced in Lambdas, Generics and commonly used data structures such as Map, List, Set etc
- Strong data structures and algorithms knowledge
- Concurrent programming knowledge, e.g. Actor Model, Java CompletableFuture, and different types of thread pool Executors
- Hibernate or equivalent JPA frameworks
- Restful Web Services
- MySQL, Oracle, DB2 or MS SQL
- Optional but highly desired: ReactJS, JavaScript
- Good communication skill
- Can embrace a fast-paced, iterative work environment
