Acquisitions Administrative Assistant

Direct Hire Role
$17.00 per hour

The person in this role will undertake a heavy load of high-level administrative tasks that include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting with the due diligence surrounding potential property acquisitions by conducting preliminary research and analysis of properties being considered for purchase; reviewing and interpreting information from applicable sources such as plat or tax maps, property appraisals, title searches, inspection reports, etc.
  • Assisting with Negotiation of property acquisitions, preparing and reviewing legal documents that include sales agreements, comparable valuations, purchase offer letters and other documents associated with transactions involving property purchases
  • Communicating with sellers, real estate brokers, and/or title companies to request/provide information and resolve any issues surrounding acquisitions/closings
  • Gathering and reviewing necessary information and documentation for closing as well as scheduling loan closing and issuing loan funds
  • Using independent judgment in completing activities on time and working under general supervision, while assisting with special projects and being flexible to the needs of the department and its frequently changing priorities

Qualifications and Requirements :
  • Some college and 2+ years of experience in or general knowledge of the mortgage, real estate, title industries
  • Loan processing/closing experience is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written communication skills, solid organizational, multi- tasking and time management skills to prioritize and follow-up/follow-through with projects/deadlines
  • Ability to learn quickly using analytical skills and logical thought process
  • Excellent internet research skills, ability to type 50+ wpm, ability to demonstrate solid skills with MS applications such as Word, Excel, and Outlook; Mac use is a plus
  • Reliable transportation and auto liability insurance are a must
