As our Internal Trainer you will be responsible for conducting Accolade's comprehensive onboarding and educational trainings; you will seamlessly blend instructor-led training with self-driven learning materials and excellent documentation. You will collect data, analyze the impact of learning initiatives, and partner with senior team members to develop viable solutions and program improvements that drive the intended outcomes, productivity and proficiency. On this role you will adapt curriculum for a variety of audiences, learning delivery methods, and technological needs. This includes identifying training needs, producing documentation and training plans, creating a wide variety of training materials, self-paced content, and delivering training. You will be deeply integrated with the US training team. Outside the day-to-day onboarding programs, you will conduct internal trainings, as per individual learning needs to support Accolade's Learning & Development initiatives and you will be helping P&C with promoting our culture and events.

A day in the life...

  • Guides new employees through Accolade's in-person onboarding programs in duration of 2-6 weeks per class, including monitoring employee success to inform process improvement of current programs and new program development, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Supports employee's personal growth and improvement throughout the New Hire Learning experience, creating individualized lesson plans which address areas of deficiency through extra practice.
  • Manages and documents training schedule, attendance, and updates to curriculum.
  • Administers learning programs that create a positive employee experience, while driving toward more proficiency and productivity of the team.
  • Conducts internal trainings as per identified needs to support development of teams as well as individuals.
  • Prepares lesson plans that include the method, media, and documentation to be presented; conducts needs' assessment to determine the effectiveness of training programs and modifies delivery as needed.
  • Coaches and inspires employees to embrace learning in areas outside of their comfort zone, so that they will be successful in their roles.
  • Coordinates daily classroom set-up and logistics including furniture and equipment (computer, monitors, headset) audio and video projection units. Manage clean-up post event.
  • Executes additional activities and events such as Lunch and Learns, New Hire welcome activities, and class celebrations.
  • Engage with the Managers (your business partners) to seek their continuous feedback and learning requirements.

What we are looking for...

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
  • 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position in a corporate environment
  • Previous classroom teaching/instructing experience, including demonstrated classroom management skills - lead and engage a classroom
  • Ability to deliver, prioritize, manage and complete learning projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to objectively assess and evaluate performance and employee matters and deliver feedback when needed
  • Possess and applies critical thinking, hands-on attitude and decision making skills
  • Strong program management skills
  • English on native speaker level - C2 (all trainings are conducted in English)
  • Skilled in using web conferencing technologies such as WebEx, Go To Meeting, Join Me, Zoom.
  • Proficiency using Microsoft suite - advanced PowerPoint and SharePoint.
