About The Team

We are a fun and energetic team of 5 engineers, and you can consider us as a Core Tools Development team. We are distributed across two locations (Prague, CZ, and Plymouth Meeting, USA). This position is for the Prague office. As our main goal is to make every software engineer go faster, we have named ourselves Liquid Schwartz - which is a special fuel that made rockets fly faster in the legendary (1987) Spaceballs movie. We believe that exactly describes our mission in just two words.

We constantly think about how technology can be leveraged to deliver value to our customers - Accolade engineers. We work closely with them to understand new feature needs and technical implementation impact. Our focus is on providing tools to help automate and streamline the engineering processes and deliver the code faster.

In our team you will

• Learn about Agile practices and ceremonies as well as SDLC in general.
• Develop new service(s) utilizing cloud-native frameworks.
• Build a new Kubernetes cluster while learning about Infrastructure as Code.
• Work closely with other Cloud Engineering teams to deploy newly developed service(s).
• Use tooling and frameworks like Amazon Web Services, GitHub, Docker, Serverless, K8s, ELK stack, and more!

Whom are we looking for

A student of Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or similar. You must have:

• a desire to learn
• good organizational skills, problem-solving mindset
• communication and collaborative skills, ability to share/receive constructive feedback
• knowledge of a programming language - Python (preferred), Typescript, Groovy
• experience with cloud-native solutions (preferably AWS) is a plus
• English, both verbal and written
