You are:
ACybersecurity Counselwho will support internal and client-facing operations and provide strong collaboration with CIO & CISO to anticipate and address cyber threats, risk, and promote compliance

The work:
  • Partner with legal, business, security and CIO leadership to interpret and apply cybersecurity data management regulations and policy across the company's operations and lines of business
  • Manage cybersecurity and data incident analysis & response
  • Design and help implement policies, procedures, and tools to enhance cybersecurity and data protection
  • Advise on the application of cybersecurity/data protection considerations to emerging technologies

Here's what you need:
  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Juris Doctor
  • 5 years legal experience
  • 3 years focused experience with cybersecurity issues
  • Substantial knowledge and experience with federal government cybersecurity regulations (e.g. DFARS, NIST, FISMA, CUI/CDI)
  • Substantial experience with cyber incident management
  • Ability to communicate complex legal issues in an understandable and persuasive manner to technical and business leaders at all organizational levels

Bonus points if you have:
  • Knowledge of federal government contracting regulations and environment (e.g. FAR/DFARS, FCA, supply chain regulations, cybersecurity programs (e.g. CMMC))
  • Experience with National Security requirements and regulations (e.g. NISPOM, FOCI)
  • Experience with data privacy regimes (e.g., GDPR, US state data privacy laws)
  • Experience with internal investigations and litigation/dispute resolution
  • Ability to work cooperatively as part of a cross-functional team
  • Ability to work effectively in a virtual environment, leveraging telephonic, electronic, and face-to-face communications skills
  • Superior time management and organizational skills
