Overview of North America (NA) Marketing + Communications
The North America Marketing + Communications team shapes and activates marketing and communications strategies across the marketing lifecycle that fuel growth for Accenture's $20B+ North American market (United States and Canada). Its cross-functional team drives category brand positioning in the North American market, curates end-to-end client experiences to drive the local growth agenda, empowers and positions Accenture's leaders, and engages and inspires the company's North American people, recruits and alumni. It positions Accenture in the heart of local innovation, business and technology communities and champions programs for equality, inclusion and diversity within Accenture North America and the communities it serves.

YOUR ROLE:

Job Specifications:

We are looking for a marketing program manager with solid communications, project management and stakeholder management skills who can help provide oversight and direction across multiple acquisitions during due diligence.

The role is to help direct the Marketing + Communications (M+C) workstreams, primarily in North and South America. This role will work across these deals simultaneously, ensuring that each M+C deal team is working through the processes outlined in the deal playbook. It covers acquisitions and divestitures, from sign through to close.

The candidate must quickly understand and analyze complex information and communicate to support these deals, and be inspired by working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment. They will need to be able to remain calm under pressure and collaborate effectively across multiple global teams.

Job Specifications:
  • Direct overall Marketing & Communication activities for Accenture's own acquisitions, with a focus on (but not exclusive to) targets that are based in North and South America. This requires a focus on supporting acquisitions and divestitures, from sign through to close.
  • Ensure strong project management and planning during due diligence
  • Work with the assembled Marketing & Communications, and Deal Team to build core messages around the rationale behind acquisition, with a focus on the go-to-market strategy
  • Work with the Brand team on the brand transition plan
  • Oversee the creation of an integrated communications plan that maximizes opportunities and reduces risk, and co-ordinate announcement preparation.
  • Ensure localization approach and translations are included, where applicable
  • Ensure media and social media listening capability is set up ahead of possible leaks, as required
  • Oversee threat of leaks & mitigate
  • Set the team up for strong PMI handover

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree required, prefer in marketing & communications, journalism or related.
  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years' experience in marketing and communications, preferably with some experience in the technology; experience in applying marketing concepts; branding and message development skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • A background in at least one of integrated marketing and communications strategy; media relations; or internal communications
  • Key message development
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Solid project management skills
  • Experience in integrated M+C campaign creation and execution
  • Ability to work collaboratively with multiple global teams
  • Organised with a strong ability to prioritise workload
  • Experience of juggling multiple projects at the same time
  • Experience handling acquisitions a significant advantage
  • Experience working on a global team across multiple time zones is desired.
Professional Skills:
  • It is important to note that this role requires flexibility to work outside of normal business hours, especially around crunch phase of deal such as launch day and pre-scheduled global meetings.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills. The ability to present and communicate ideas clearly and persuasively at all levels to multiple audiences including Accenture employees, leadership and acquired company employees.
  • Strong organization, program and time management and skills, with a demonstrated ability to meet milestones, tight deadlines and communicate status on concurrent projects.
  • Excellent negotiation, influence, mediation, conflict management and executive stakeholder management skills.
  • Willingness to participate in virtual meetings outside of regular business hours to accommodate other time zones.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment.
  • Enjoy working on multiple projects at the same time, and able to prioritize workload and activities.
  • Good attention to detail and the ability to digest complex information.
  • Sensitivity to the cultural variances across different countries.
  • Demonstrated leadership in professional setting; either military or civilian
  • Demonstrated teamwork and collaboration in a professional setting; either military or civilian
As required by theColorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only , the range of starting pay for this role is $68,800 - $111,699 and information on benefits offered is here.
