People in the Corporate Function contribute to the running of Accenture as a high- performance business through specialization within a specific functional area, and grow into internally focused roles by deepening their skills and/or developing new skills within an internal functional area.

Job Summary:

Lead and coordinate part of the Procurement Plus Travel & Mobility category:
  • Accountable for target setting in alignment with global and market P+ and category objectives
  • Accountable to communicate, execute and implement category initiatives
  • Accountable for category strategy definition, project execution and stakeholder alignment
  • Functional and managerial responsibility for Category Management resources
Key Responsibilities:

Manage parts of the Procurement Plus Travel & Mobility category:
  • Manage direct reports including target setting, performance, career and training development
  • Foster knowledge sharing between global/regional/local P+ and travel & mobility resources
  • Support the other Category Leads with the identification of stakeholders and definition of the strategy
  • Benchmark category practices with market developments to identify initiatives for improvement
  • Assess impact of changing requirements, including legislation and policies
Ensure successful implementation of global / market strategy and agreements:
  • Lead and support market and global category strategy development and implementation
  • Support global/regional/local negotiations and sourcing activities in line with global category strategy
  • Support business profitability (incl. sales) related to travel across the regional Accenture organization
  • Promote the use of contracts and buying channels according to category strategies
Manage supplier and customer relationships:
  • Manage supplier relationships in line with Global Category and 360 Value Mgmt. strategy
  • Develop and maintain effective strategic relationships with key internal customers and stakeholders
  • Manage internal customer feedback on category organization & supplier performance
  • Consolidate requirements and act as business partner across MUs, Functions and (Sub-)Categories
  • Proactively organize sessions with internal customers to identify value contribution opportunities
  • Ensure that input from stakeholders is considered in the category strategy and sourcing processes
  • Act as an escalation point for category related issues and drive resolution in line with global targets
Perform category management activities for projects on a global/market level:
  • Manage the category strategy implementation/execution for projects and initiatives
  • Drive supplier performance by, for example, discussing lessons learned across different markets
  • Perform supplier selection and fact-based negotiations in alignment with Global Category Leads
  • Involve the business for actions related to supplier base optimization, KPI implementation
  • Drive deep travel & mobility market intelligence into all aspects of the value proposition

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • 3+ years of experience in relevant field
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Master's degree with emphasis on the areas of business, economics, procurement, travel or comparable professional education
  • Minimum of 6 years working experience in similar or adequate roles in procurement or travel environment, with international project and people management elements
  • Minimum 3 years of experience working with senior executives to implement and manage initiatives in a highly complex matrix organization
  • Expert knowledge of the travel & mobility industry and commercial models
  • Expert in category management, sourcing as well as project management and planning
  • Excellent knowledge of procurement and category strategy development and conveyance
  • Proven knowledge in sourcing and procurement methodologies and concepts
  • Advanced in analytics and the ability to analyze specifications and influence demand
  • Strong knowledge of procurement tools content and data analysis
  • Project and process management knowledge and experience
  • Fluent in English, spoken and written

  • Very strong in stakeholder and relationship management as well as supplier management
  • Strong capability to independently interact throughout the broader Accenture organization
  • Strong analytical, presentation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills

As required by theColorado Equal Pay Transparency Act, Accenture provides a reasonable range of minimum compensation for roles that may be hired in Colorado. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. For the state of Colorado only , the range of starting pay for this role is 90,900 - 153,299 and information on benefits offered is here.
