You Are:

The Data Lake Development Lead will lead team of data engineers, report developers, and functional analysis in the creation, maintenance, and enhancement of an Enterprise AWS Data Lake.

The Work:
  • Lead the overall data lake design and development effort
  • Incorporate availability, data quality, and data availability into overall data lake design
  • Design and manage the deployment and code versioning for the data lake
  • Translate business needs into a system design adhering to an Agile delivery framework with technical requirements
  • Design, build and test the conversion of JSON data files into Parquet entities for Data Lake development
  • Develop and test dimension and fact tables. Ensure tables adhere to data governance standards and naming conventions
  • Convert Oracle queries SQL developer into Athena views to serve as the data sources for Tableau reports
  • Execute testing plans ensuring data integrity and operational efficiency.

Qualifications

Here Is What You Need:
  • Bachelors Degree or 5 years of equivalent industry experience
  • Experience with ETL or data modeling
  • Experience with architecting or solutioning
  • Experience in estimating work or defining an implementation plan
  • Experience in architecting and building scalable data platforms processing data
  • Experience with one Cloud Technology (ex: AWS, Azure, Google, etc.)
  • Experience with at least one SQL language such as T-SQL or PL/SQL
Bonus Points If:
  • Advanced Degree
  • 10+ years of industry experience
  • Production implementation experience for all qualifications listed
  • Production experience in building real-time analytics applications.
  • Experience in both batch and stream processing technologies
  • Experience with Java or Scala programming languages.
  • Machine learning experience with Spark or similar Ability to manage numerous requests concurrently and be able to prioritize and deliver
  • Good communication skills and dynamic team player
