The Automation Analyst works as part of an implementation team that reviews new releases and works on various process improvement for the installs team. Process improvements would include Validator tool development, Validator tool configuration, migrating Validator to latest Open-Source deployment tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.), release management processes, build doc maintenance, and various other items.

This role requires strong troubleshooting skills across a distributed Windows and Cloud environment with multiple interfaces. The Automation analyst will have some direct interaction with clients requiring strong technical communication skills but will mainly work with install analysts directly.

In addition, this role requires working closely with the different types of projects that Installs team manages to capture processes that can be automated. This role will develop key measuring numbers for new automation that will lead to ROI and tangible benefits for our customers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for automating processes for the team:
  • Maintain and support existing automation.
  • Release management process for automation. Including versioning control, packaging and deployment.
  • Improve and add new automation.
  • Work with pod lead and Architect to automate new processes or applications
  • Provide technical support for the team.
  • Documentation for automation issues and knowledge base
  • Support the team during go-lives in on call rotations as well as expedited requests on as needed basis. Expecting low engagements for these activities.
  • Make proactive suggestions for service improvements
  • Operate on a Scrum Team as a Developer with a Dedicated Scrum Master and Product Owner
  • Developer on a Scrum Team has the following Responsibilities:
  • Deliver working product increments defined by the Sprint Goal
  • Manage the Sprint Backlog and Burndown
  • Demonstrate working product to the Product Owner and Stakeholders
  • Commits Product Backlog Items to the Sprint Backlog during Sprint Planning
  • Assisting the Product Owner in Refinement of future Product Backlog Items, particularly defining the "How"
  • Instilling quality by adhering to the Definition of Done of a Product Backlog Item
  • Inspect, Adapt, and provide Transparency at the Daily Scrum, Sprint Review, and Sprint Retrospective
