As a Data Architect, you will define and align the major types and sources of data necessary to support the business and determine how it is used, stored, managed and integrated within the organization's IT systems and applications.

The architect will need knowledge and understanding of the solution options for data science, data engineering, AI /ML engineering, edge analytics along with platforms, tools, frameworks, technologies and vendors in those areas.

The work:

Responsibilities will include:
- Work with the customer, users, technical architect, and RICEFW functional designers to define the data requirements and structure for the application.
- Model and design the application data structure, storage, and integration.
- Lead the database analysis, design, and build effort.
- Work with the integration solution architects and designers to design the integration solution.
- Ensure that the database designs fulfill the requirements, including data volume, frequency needs, and long-term data growth.
- Assist in determining the cross-application data standards, data distribution standards, and tuning strategies.
- Work with the technical architects and RICEFW functional designers to understand the data conversion requirements fully and to design the conversion procedures and applications.
- Review the database deliverables throughout development to ensure quality and traceability to requirements and adherence to all quality management plans and standards.
- Ensure that the developers and database administrators responsible for developing the database thoroughly understand the requirements and designs.
- Work with other architects to ensure that all components work together to meet objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements. Identify and communicate any cross-area or cross-release issues that may affect other areas of the project.
- Support the development and test teams with the creation of test data. Ensure test data conforms to data security requirements.
- Participate in quality management reviews as outlined in the Quality Management practice.
- Ensure client data protection guidelines are followed for sensitive personal data in accordance to Accenture's Client Data Protection program.
- Ensure the necessary PCI data standards, which can be found at Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, are followed if the application will store or transmit credit card payments.
- Consider the data backup and replication requirements as part of the BCP for the application.
- Work with customers and security architect to identify the access control and identity requirements for the application.
- Ensure security in reporting and data warehousing

Qualifications

Here's what you need:
- At least 3 years' experience with Cloud Data Architecture
- At least 3 years' experience Data Architecture Principles
- At least 3 years expertise in Data Modeling Techniques and Methodologies
- At least 3 years of work in Database Technical Design and Build

Bonus points if:
- You have experience in Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
- You know Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) and Extract Transform & Load (ETL) Tools
- The work you do includes Online Analytical Processing (OLAP)
- An understanding of Database Management
