A Behavioral Health Consultant is responsible for implementation of business changes that drive industry specific, function and digital operating model transformation, focusing on tasks relating to people and process.

Responsibilities include:

  • Evaluating business operations and supporting performance improvement initiatives related to behavioral health delivery models and innovations.
  • Working with our advanced analytics and strategy teams to identify the root causes of human and systems problems in behavioral healthcare.
  • Creating high quality analysis and sections of deliverables that clearly frame objectives, issues, and challenges, and articulate insightful findings and recommendations to address behavioral health access, engagement and quality of care.
  • Developing action plans to address areas for improvement identified through data analysis and business expertise and communicates action plans to client.
  • Developing healthcare data analysis visualizations and support data linkages to those visualizations.
Developing creative and breakthrough solutions employing digital innovations, and delivering to a high standard in a suitable timeframe.

  • Eliciting high-level business requirements and creating detailed functional specs and other documentation, such as requirement traceability matrices, work-flow diagrams and use-cases.
  • Directly engaging with prospective, new, and existing health plan/provider clients to provide relevant hands-on clinical and business expertise and consultation regarding Behavioral Health models including integration with existing complex care models, improved access to care and continuous engagement strategies.

Qualifications

Basic Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in behavioral health related field (clinical psychology, counseling, social work, nursing)
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of Behavioral Health Industry experience
  • Experience in consulting, driving outcomes and delivering value
  • An awareness of key methodologies, approaches, and market trends and players in the behavioral health industry.
  • Experience and ability to manage large and medium sized teams and/or work efforts (if in an individual contributor role) at a client or within Accenture.
  • Experience working through organizational change, with a demonstrated track record of continuing responsibilities, creativity, and innovation, including evidence of solution design.
  • Long-term, ability to travel up to 100% is required; however for now, racking up those air miles will have to wait, as weekly non-essential travel to client sites Monday through Thursday is currently suspended. All Accenture business travel, international and domestic, is currently restricted to client-essential sales/delivery activity only. (Please note: The safety and well-being for our people continues to be the top priority, and our decisions around travel are informed by government COVID-19 response directives, recommendations from leading health authorities and guidance from a number of infectious disease experts.)
