THE TEAM
As part of the Infrastructure team, you'll lead the SRE team (currently 2 engineers) and report directly to the Head of Infrastructure.
At AB Tasty, reliability is a strategic priority. Site Reliability Engineering is one of the three pillars of our infrastructure, alongside the Cloud Solutions and Platform Engineering teams. Together, you'll work to ensure the availability, performance, and resilience of our systems, while accelerating our ability to ship with confidence.
In close alignment with product and business needs, you'll also be responsible for transforming technical signals into meaningful reliability insights, and making reliability a shared, measurable goal across teams

YOUR MISSION
- Lead the SRE team, drive its rituals, and guide it through scaling challenges in reliability, observability, and process automation. Your goal: bring reliability to the front of everything we do
- SRE is a core pillar of our infrastructure, alongside Cloud Solutions and Platform Engineering. Together, you accelerate product delivery while ensuring operational excellence
- Own the technical and strategic vision for our open-source observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Cortex). This is not just tooling, it's a product in itself. You'll define the roadmap, evolve the architecture, and drive its adoption across teams
- Adoption is the key: performance doesn't matter if no one uses it. You'll help teams get comfortable with the tools, evangelize best practices, and support others in making observability a reflex, not an afterthought
- Turn insight into action: our observability stack covers hundreds of services and endpoints. You'll use this visibility to guide architectural improvements and reduce failure domains across the platform
- Too many alerts kill alerting: you'll be the gatekeeper of alert quality, incident prioritization, and on-call efficiency. Your mission: reduce noise, increase signal, and improve trust in alerts
- Foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement: every incident is a chance to improve. You'll lead postmortems, drive root cause analysis, and ensure follow-ups actually happen
- Reliability isn't just ops - it's product: you'll translate product expectations into technical indicators. While an initial SLI framework exists, it's still in its early stages, You'll be in charge of shaping, stabilizing, and scaling it to make reliability measurable, actionable, and aligned with business goals
- Make reliability visible: you'll take pride in highlighting the team's impact through clear release notes, reliability dashboards, internal updates, and cross-team demos. Reliability is real when it's seen and shared
WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- 4+ years of experience in SRE or a similar role, with a strong track record in high-availability environments
- At least 2 years in a technical leadership or management position, leading teams with varying levels of expertise
- Deep experience with AWS and/or GCP
- Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (especially Terraform)
- Solid knowledge of Kubernetes (EKS/GKE), Helm, and service mesh such as Istio
- Hands-on expertise with open-source observability stacks (Grafana, Loki, Tempo, Cortex, etc.)
- Bonus: familiarity with OpenTelemetry and instrumentation standard
- Operational experience with on-call management tools like PagerDuty, and a strong grasp of escalation workflows and alerting strategies
- Excellent communication skills, leadership presence, and a collaborative mindset.
- A sharp analytical approach and the ability to thrive in complex, fast-moving environments
- Passion for learning, teaching, and pushing technical boundaries - both individually and as a team
