Position Summary:

ABM Building Services is seeking a dynamic and experienced Service Manager to lead our HVAC and Lighting teams in Las Vegas, Nevada. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of managing technical service operations, optimizing team performance, and ensuring exceptional client satisfaction. This leadership role requires a hands-on manager who can balance people leadership, operational excellence, and customer relations to drive service quality and business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Development

  • Supervise and support HVAC and Lighting technicians.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and retain top service talent in alignment with ABM’s core values.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and facilitate continuous technical and professional development.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and collaboration.

Operational Oversight

  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring high-quality service delivery across HVAC and lighting systems maintenance, repair, and upgrades.
  • Monitor work orders, service calls, and preventive maintenance schedules to ensure timely resolution and client satisfaction.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory guidelines (OSHA, EPA, etc.).

Customer and Stakeholder Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients, providing updates, resolving issues, and building long-term relationships.
  • Conduct client site visits and participate in service review meetings.
  • Develop service proposals and assist in pricing and estimating service work.

Financial & Resource Management

  • Manage departmental budgets, control costs, and monitor profitability of service activities.
  • Review and approve technician timesheets, service tickets, and invoices.
  • Manage tools, equipment, and inventory to ensure operational efficiency and minimize waste.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in HVAC and/or lighting services.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role, ideally in building services or facilities management.
  • Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and lighting systems.
  • Strong understanding of service contract management and P&L responsibility.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Preferred:

  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Facilities Management, or a related field.
  • EPA Universal Certification.
  • Previous experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).

  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.

Working Conditions:

  • Primarily field-based with occasional office work.
  • Requires regular travel to client sites within the Las Vegas metro area.
  • Occasional on-call availability for after-hours emergencies.
