Assistant Project Manager - Bidding Specialist
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Account Manager specializing in corporate operations and bidding processes within the sports and entertainment industry at ABM. This position is specifically focused on working within the Sports and Entertainment organizations, managing the complete bidding lifecycle for exhibitions and events at the LA Convention Center, while driving targeted sales growth and maintaining strong client relationships within this specialized sector.
Pay: $75,000/Year
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

Key Responsibilities
Bidding & Proposal Management
- Lead the end-to-end bidding process for exhibitions, trade shows, and events at LA Convention Center
- Develop comprehensive and competitive proposals that align with client requirements and company capabilities
- Research and analyze market opportunities to identify potential bidding opportunities
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure accurate pricing and service delivery commitments
- Maintain detailed bid tracking systems and manage proposal deadlines
Account-Based Marketing & Business Development
- Execute strategic initiatives targeting specific sports and entertainment events
- Develop personalized marketing approaches for key prospects in the sports and entertainment sector
- Execute strategic sales initiatives to generate new business
- Conduct targeted cold calling campaigns to engage sports and entertainment decision-makers
- Build and maintain a robust sales pipeline focused on sports and entertainment clients
- Present proposals and negotiating contracts with sports franchises, entertainment companies, and related organizations
- Achieving established sales targets and revenue goals within the sports and entertainment vertical
Account Management - Sports & Entertainment Focus
- Manage existing client relationships within the sports and entertainment industry to ensure satisfaction and retention
- Serve as primary point of contact for assigned sports teams, entertainment venues, production companies, and event organizers
- Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing sports and entertainment client base
- Address client concerns specific to sports and entertainment industry requirements
- Maintain deep understanding of sports and entertainment industry trends, seasonal demands, and unique operational needs
Financial Operations
- Oversee billing processes and ensure accurate invoice
- Monitor accounts receivable and manage collection activities
- Maintain detailed financial records for assigned accounts
Vendor & Operations Management
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure seamless service delivery
- Manage vendor relationships and negotiate favorable terms
- Ensure compliance with venue requirements and industry regulations
- Oversee project timelines and deliverables to meet client expectations
Required Qualifications
Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2-3 years of sales experience preferably with sports teams, entertainment venues, or event management companies
- Proven track record in Account-Based Marketing strategies and execution
- Proven track record in cold calling and business development within the sports and entertainment sector
- Experience with proposal writing and bid management processes for sports and entertainment events
- Strong understanding of ABM principles, sales methodologies, billing procedures, and accounts receivable management
- Previous experience selling products and services to sports organizations, entertainment companies, and related corporate clients
- Deep knowledge of the sports and entertainment industry landscape, including key players, seasonal cycles, and industry-specific requirements
Technical Competencies
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with financial management and billing systems
- Familiarity with proposal management tools and processes
- Understanding of sports and entertainment industry-specific software and platforms
