Transportation Coordinator

Overview
As a Transportation Coordinator, you'll get to monitor the overall success of all activity utilizing outsourced transportation or our transportation assets. This position will focus on the execution of orders placed with 3rd party providers, including any Rental Trailer activities across the customer network. This role will actively monitor service execution, paperwork turn-around, and invoicing for all 3rd party transactions. In addition, the Transportation Coordinator will collaborate closely with other departments within the organization to ensure effective implementation of the goals and objectives of the Company.
What You'll Do
- Responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with vendors, customers, transportation providers, and internal stakeholders.
- Customer Service- heavy telephone and email interaction with customers and vendors.
- Monitor progress of service requests to ensure coverage, on-time performance, and service satisfaction.
- Problem solving- Investigate, address, and resolve service complaints and repairs/maintenance in an efficient and effective fashion.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure service execution
- Manages carrier invoices and vendor charges.
- Ensuring that all vendor charges are accurate, maintain a professional ongoing dialogue with key customers to ensure consistent reconciliation.
- Approve and process daily charges and invoices ensuring prompt and accurate recording of payments to customer accounts.
- Associate's Degree
- 2 or more years of experience in customer service or logistics management
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with financial software is preferred but not required
