Beka Ashley

Beka Ashley is an ICU nurse and freelance writer passionate about making healthcare content accessible to the general population. Through her writing, she seeks to remove barriers to health accessibility, promote health literacy and equity, and discuss wellness in a conversational way. Professionally, her background includes critical care nursing, clinical pharmacy, nonprofit mental health care, peer counseling, and social media marketing. She earned a BS in counseling from Liberty University and a BS in nursing from Marian University. Beka is a voracious reader; a self-proclaimed homebody; a lover of cross-country road trips, houseplants, and hazelnut iced coffee; and is currently learning Norwegian. She lives outside Nashville, TN, with her young daughter and their rambunctious mini golden doodle named Olaf.
