Where You Live Could Be Keeping You From Earning More
How big is the gender pay gap in your state? The answer may shock you.

It’s already shocking that women on average make only 77 cents for every dollar that men make. But on a state-by-state basis, that number could be better-or worse. For example, women in places like Vermont are making at least 83% of what men are (still not perfect, but better!). In contrast, women in states like Louisiana are making less than 70% of what men are making.

If you’re looking for a new job or planning a move, definitely consider how different states stack up so you can find a place that will help you best succeed.
