Tinder for Recruiters: Check Out TheLadders’ New App

If you’re a recruiter, or you’ve ever hired for a position, you know that sorting through your inbox, reading resume after resume, can be a pain. Especially when you’re running in and out of interviews with other candidates and, you know, trying to do your day job.

Well, recruiting platform TheLadders wants to make the process a whole lot easier with its new mobile app, TheLadders Recruiter. In a nutshell, it’s the Tinder of the job market: You input the types of professionals you’re looking for, are fed a feed of qualified candidates, and can swipe right or left to pass on people or save them for later. All from the comfort of your phone, so you can browse anytime you have a few minutes to spare.

As Mashable recently reported, the app also makes it easy to contact those who make it on the short list:

The other advantage the app offers is a simple way to contact candidates. It saves each candidate’s phone number upon download, and swiping up on a candidate’s mobile profile brings up a prompt to call, text, or email (and the email option utilizes pre-determined text, further eliminating the need to type extensively on your phone). The app also identifies which candidates in the saved queue you’ve already contacted, which proves a useful tool that prevents recruiters from accidentally sending repeat messages.

Best of all, the app is free for both recruiters and job seekers. So, if you have an open position to fill? It’s definitely worth giving it a whirl.
