I don’t need to sell you on how awesome technology is. I know you know. But, if you’re like me, you might not be using your computer to its full potential. Or, even the internet for that for matter.

For example, here’s a true story: I didn’t know keyboard shortcuts existed for a long time. Some (everyone) would say that’s way too long. I’m still amazed at how much time it saves me.

And because you deserve to save all the time, I rounded up a few of my favorite tips.

  1. Did you know you can narrow your search on Google down just by adding quotations correctly?

  2. These 11 Microsoft Word tricks can shave hours off your life—everything from creating templates to working on a document simultaneously with a colleague (No, it’s not only Google Docs that can do that).

  3. Even if you’re not a numbers person, these seven Excel tricks will make you a professional data collector in no time (or, at least help you fake it).

  4. And then, once you get those down, try out these lesser-known Excel hacks to actually become an expert and truly impress your boss.

  5. No more blurry pictures on your blog or business presentation—we have an awesome cheat sheet for knowing which file type to use and when.

  6. If you want to save time, the best way to start is by learning how to write faster. Before you say “Is that even possible?” I’ll remind you that with the right program, it definitely can be.

  7. Before you’re swamped with work during a stressful week, consider downloading a useful browser extension to help you do everything more efficiently.

  8. Finally, try any of these email apps to organize your mail, create a signature, and even see when people have read your message!
