Ah summer, sweet, sweet summer. The season of sunshine, beach weekends, and your dream internship.

While many companies hire interns year round, it's safe to say that most interns get their shot in the summer. If you're one of those interns trading in beach days for boardrooms, Lorraine Buhannic, Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at Squarespace, a website builder where people can bring their creative ideas to life, has top tips for making the most of it.

But before we dive in, here's an extra tip: Keep your resume up to date. Always. You may have already landed your perfect summer gig, but you never know what opportunities may arise this summer. Maybe you meet someone from a different department, or a mentor at a networking event. No matter what, make sure you have a current resume handy, and even better, an online one. Squarespace has great templates, perfect for housing your resume.
