Don’t you just love working in an office full-time? Spending every day in a space that was somehow always way too cold in one spot but way too warm in another? Having to pack lunch ahead of time and eat breakfast as you run out the door five days a week? Knowing that at any moment your work could be interrupted by a coworker physically approaching you? And don’t get me started on commuting!

Personally, I don’t really miss it. Maybe you’re in the same boat as me and you want to keep working remotely either all the time or part of the time with a hybrid schedule. Or maybe you’re working in person full-time now and you’re longing for a position that allows you to ditch these daily problems.

Well you’re lucky on two accounts. First, hybrid and remote work are here to stay: FlexJobs’ Employee Engagement Report for 2022 found that 48% of employers anticipate maintaining some form of remote work for employees “post-pandemic” and an additional 15% still weren’t sure of their plans. In its 2022 Remote Work Stats & Trends Report, released in December 2022, FlexJobs noted a 12% increase in the number of remote job listings on its site and a super promising 52% increase in hybrid job postings between 2020 and 2021—and they expect to see similar growth from 2021 to 2022.

Second, FlexJobs has put together a list of the top careers for remote and hybrid work. The research identified specific career fields that had consistently high volumes of remote and hybrid job listings in 2022—and FlexJobs predicts these fields will remain strong prospects for 2023 as well.

So if you’d like to work remotely full-time or split your days between the office and home in a hybrid model, these careers are your best bet for 2023.
