In our theater department, represent the writers, composers, lyricists, directors, choreographers, and actors behind award-winning and critically-acclaimed plays and musicals on and Off-Broadway, regionally and internationally. Our clients are the recipients of numerous Pulitzer Prizes, Tony Awards, and Olivier Awards year in and year out.
Position Overview
This position provides general administrative support to the agent within WME Theater, managing a dynamic calendar, handling phones, sending submissions, and supporting a wide range of client-facing business across the live theater and performing arts landscape.
Qualifications/Requirements
Related Work Experience:
Ideal candidates will have one year of work experience or internship experience in an entertainment, theater, live performance, or related environment.
- Must be detail-oriented and able to handle complex instructions with care, discretion, and follow-through.
- Must be an excellent multi-tasker with proven problem-solving abilities.
- Must demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in execution of assigned tasks.
- Friendly and professional demeanor with the ability to maintain strict confidentiality at all times.
- Ability to adapt to changes and work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Dependable, proactive, and solutions-oriented.
- Able to prioritize workload effectively and use time efficiently while supporting multiple priorities.

Essential Responsibilities
- Assist the agent in all professional and administrative matters across theater and live performance clients.
- Ensure clients are handled professionally and with a high level of service reflective of WME Theater's standards.
- Answer telephone calls and make outbound calls in a polished and professional manner.
- Review and analyze scripts, theatrical content, and related materials.
- Schedule meetings, coordinate logistics, and maintain an organized and constantly evolving calendar.
Core Competencies
All applicants should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be self-confident, discreet, collaborative, and diligent, with a strong interest in live theater and the performing arts.
Technical Skills
Strong computer skills are mandatory, including proficiency in standard business applications and communication platforms.

Hiring pay rates are based on a number of factors, including location and may vary depending on job-related qualifications, knowledge, skills and experience. The company strives to provide locally competitive rewards packages, which include base rate along with, as applicable, short- and long-term incentives, growth and developmental opportunities, and robust benefits, such as health care, retirement, vacation and other paid time off, and additional offerings.
Hiring Rate Minimum:
$21.00 hourly (minimum will not fall below the applicable state/local minimum wage thresholds)
Hiring Rate Maximum:
$21.00 hourly
